We are introduced to the Alphabet at a very early age. A child may not even know that he or she is looking at letters and what may be their purpose. Soon enough, recognition is followed by the attempt to write. With practice and age, a child understands the purpose and syntax of language and even develops his or her own style of writing. Beyond the purpose of communicating, we seldom think about our handwriting. We become so used to it, that we don’t even think if there would be some more aspects of this ‘trivial’ thing. Handwriting can reveal the personality of the writer. In fact, the way one writes, unveils many personality traits of a person. Of course, analysing this requires a thorough knowledge of reading people through their handwriting.
There are many things like size and style of handwriting, margins, distance between words and lines etc, which differ from person to person. How we sign our name or erase/ delete written words also changes from person to person. These differences and minute observations can help us to analyse a person’s nature and personality. So if handwriting can reveal personality traits, the question is can it help in altering behaviour patterns as well? Handwriting experts believe, this is possible, especially in the case of children as they are still in the developmental stage of writing. This therapy is called Graphotherapy. This realm of study can inform us about the gradual changes in personality, health, diseases and even the reasons behind those diseases. It can even read and shape the subconscious mind of a person.
So, there is more to handwriting than what meets the eye. To add to these, now experts are trying to find out if handwriting can throw some light on the past life of a person.
However, although a signature can reveal many personality traits, any single letter is not enough to describe the person. One has to consider some other factors too. Indeed, this topic is very interesting, vast and intense.
In an interactive session of Avantar, Shrikant Paranjape shared many such details of the topic and made us more curious about the mysteries of handwriting analysis.
So, come join us in the next session of Avantar to hear more about another interesting subject- Photography.
In March 2018, we will try and share some knowledge about Photography. Photography has become very common for us, but very few know the proper techniques of the same. Just buying a camera is not enough to master this art. Mihir Tokekar would help us to know more about it. So please don’t forget to attend the next session of Avantar on 21st March, 2018.
